Yesterday I received a package with some of the new Athearn cars, the 65' Mill Gondola, the 52' Mill Gondola with loads and the PS 2893 Three Bay Covered Hopper. I preodered two of each type and was not disappointed. An interesting point: the 65' Mill Gondola is a diecast model! Maybe for stability of the looooong body. The paint is a bit shiny, but it looks good. I did not yet make more tests or even compare the PS Hopper to the Atlas one because I am currently very busy with the final wiring. I hope to have all switsches working in the next few days. Oh yes, there was also a Con-Cor 2-10-2 with doghouse in the package It is really as good as described here, thank you. Chris: The CC 2-10-2 is a beautiful loco with outstanding performance. I also received the PS three bay hoppers from Athearn and they are very nice. I'm going to body mount some MT couplers on the frames to get rid of the accumates on the trucks. Stay cool and run steam.....
