Hi, I posted new article over at Ztrains.com last night and would like to invite you by for a read: http://www.ztrains.com/pages/closeup/panzer/panzer.html The Z-Panzer company of England has produced a German WWII armored locomotive, the BR57. These loks were part of the Panzerzug armored trains, and it looks like the Z-Panzer company did a wonderful job of reproducing it for us in Z. I hope you enjoy the article. Good reading! I enjoy history quite a bit and like Kurt it is not my forte' but nonetheless a very fine looking model.
I blame the History Channel in my interest in WWII! Even though much of the reading I did for this article didn't make it to print, it was worth the read. Just the evolution of Prussia from the end of their monarchy in 1918 into WWII Germany is gripping reading. From a historic perspective I'm glad that Z-Panzer decided to produce this piece. Like the Marklin GG1, this is just one of those locomotives that I knew I'd be buying as soon as I saw it. John http://www.ztrains.com
