    Hello Everyone,

I am in the midst of building my 4x8 Ho layout. I chose a track plan from the Klambach book cleverly titled Trackplans. Is it just me or does each book give you just enough information to need the next? Anyway back on topic...

Would you be willing to send pics of your track plan, overhead with track layed, and wide shot of as finished as you have it? You can send them to dilan_thomas@yahoo.com. I understand the wealth of pictures in the archives. That is the problem. Links are great, but I cannot always accsess these at work.

My current track plan is great, but now that I've played with it I have decided it isn't what I want. Before I reconfigure I want to see some other ideas.

    Thank you for contributing.

PS: PowerSteamGuy don't get carried away. I only have sooo much memory in my yahoo account. I love your photo album by the way. AWESOME !!!

Do you have a pic of what you are trying to build?

I would post some pics of my layout, but it's N scale freelance design that is basically like any other double oval with a return loop and yard. I have a thread about it here:

You can go read and perhaps glean some useful tips about layout design and building there.

    Good luck on your layout!

    Dilan:
As a member of Trainboard.com, you have access to all of the images in Railimages.
It is very cumbersome to try searching with the Railimages search engine, but the alternative is searching individual pictures (many dozens of thousands). Try variations on “Track plans”, track planning, planning, plans, layout designs, designs, layouts, etc.
Here are some of my drawings done for TB'ers. If you look for threads by the layout owners (I put their screen names on their layout plans), you can probably find some interesting discussion about layout designs.

And, of course, you could check out all the layout planning books at your LHS.
