Does anyone have the instruction sheet and plans for the Ambroid " ONE OF FIVE THOUSAND" #10. This car is a live chicken boxcar. Coop is on one end with eggs in the other in a refer section and the man with feed and water is in a compartment tin the middle. I bought the kit new and over the years the plans got lost. Thanks , Blayne
I can't see your specific car, but maybe there is a diagram that is close to yours here. http://www.hoseeker.org/ambroid.html I see a kit on ebay here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HO-Ambroid-...870162?hash=item2107dd6352:g:5wEAAOSw37tWBFWT I took the initiative to see if he would scan the instructions. I will keep you posted on this.
I reached out to Glenn myself and this is the reply. So much for one modeler helping another. All I want to do is build the kit I already have.
In this instance I doubt there'd be any problem copying them. I am no lawyer, but how could "fair use" not be applied here?
Unsolicited advice about titling posts. Title "Need plans" sounds like another one of the jillions of requests for track plans/ layout suggestions. Would attract more readers if heading were a little more specific. Not 100% details required, just enough to interest the eyeballs of people who have done old Ambroid kits or specialists in various oddball cars. Such as "Need plans for Chicken car." That would arouse curioisity.
If you look closely to the sheet available on the Ambroid link and the Ebay ad, they are pretty much identical.
I need to change my handle from 187 to dumb ass. I completely missed the link to all those old Ambroid plans that traingeekboy found for me. Right there is a copy of the original instructions. Plain to see that you don't tackle this kit blind. Thanks to all.
Ambroid diagrams. This site may interest many looking for older diagrams. http://www.hoseeker.net/ambroid.html Anyone with diagrams can scan them and email to the site. Rich
I didn't see the car in the list of plans. I just figured they'd have very similar undercarriage layouts, so it would help with part of it. What one is the plan?
