Hi all I am building a layout of the frisco in oklahoma around the 1930's, and need pic's of the round house at the tulsa yard, in(west tulsa), I was told to go look at the sanborn maps at the tulsa lib. but the lib. gave all of the map's, pic's to the tulsa history sic. which is moving and (I hope) will be open some time this month. any help would be great BJPLOW01@aol.com
BJ, Welcome to Trainboard, and especially the Frisco forum! I wish I knew names, but you could contact the Green Country Model RR club in Tulsa (ask the folks at Action Hobbies). Another source of info would be the Frisco Modelers Information Group forum http://www.frisco.org is the place to start there- lots of knowledgeable folks. Good luck in your search.
Thanks for the fast turn around to my first post. I have already talked to someone at the fmig, and thay put me on the path of the sanborn ins. map's, and that was about a year ago i am still waiting for the tulsa histor sic. to get moved in and open up. I just tore up my modern stagging yard (west tulsa), it was 35 tracks deep and 31' (real feet) long and held about 550 car's so now Ive got the room for the new? old yard to go in its place. thanks again.
