I bought (2) NOS Simple Transistor Throttle kits off of Ebay. They are based on a design by Peter Thorne. Unfortunately they come just with the parts and tell me I need to buy his book for the Schematic. Can someone email me or point me to a site with the schematic for this. They say it's from 34 New Electronic projectos for For Model Railroaders by Kalmbach. The kits appear to be from the 70's or Early 80's. Thanks, Dave
Sorry, I don't have the book. I did do a search on the Model Train Magazine Index site and found an article by Peter Thorne called "The Simplest Transistor Throttle". It was in Model Railroader, Aug 1976, Page 44. Maybe this is the same circuit. I don't have that magazine but I am sure others here do. Maybe this will help you.
