Am new to modeling and looked through many designs for my lay out. (N-Scale) I finally found one that I like and am not sure where to start on it. First of all it is the GG&N layout, and I know I did not get it from layout.com but from another similar web page. if any one can help me with this it would be appreciated. I have all the track exept for the bridges and the turnouts.. Also I would like to set this up with wiring so I can go DCC in the near future. the other item I would like to do is to have a passenger (small one I know) and a freight running at the same time. Help???? Cowboy_1 Aka Stan
Cowboy, Welcome to Trainboard, glad to have you aboard... or in the saddle... as the case may be...lol. Can you provide a link to the layout you are interested in, if it is on the net? You don't need dcc with a lot of wiz bangs if money is an issue. So you might look at the Atlas system or the new MRC system. I am assuming the layout you like is smaller in nature. Can you tell us more about it. You can highlight the address in the address box, do a copy and paste to your original post or start another one including your link... Thanks
hope this works.... http://www.naisp.net/users/mfischer/m_train2.htm the layout is midway or more down the page I got the track plan by doing a right click and saving it to disk,.. it is a zip file that is in 4.0 ral format.. thanks Cowboy_1
From the link you have given, count down the number of layouts and tell me what that number is to your layout.
it is the 27th layout or the first one under the heading "my variations of other peoples layouts." sorry about the confusion on this. has been a bad week with me an the puter.
Hi to all, Just joined and would like to get some advice. Have a 16x10' shed and thinking of a U shape layout.Like 4' on the sides and also4' on the top or is it better an island layout, like 12x6',leaving 2' all around. Maybe somebody can suggest a plan on the net.Using HO layout. Thank you Redbaron 8 in Oz
Red and to any one lurking thinking to start a thread on your layout. I would request you start a new thread requesting help as it detracts from the original poster (requesting help) as you have to much happening in one thread. So Red, Repost what you have just written, but start a new topic and I and others will reply there. And how rude of me, I posted before welcoming you to trainboard and the layout design forum.
