Howdy all. Got all my papermill trackage laid and yep, lost the instructions on wiring my Peco code 55 electrofrog crossing. There are 4 wires (2 on each side) that I'm not sure where to put. Any help, as always, would be appreciated !
txron I wired mine so that when one track is hot, the other is dead. I just use a dpdt switch to make the change, depending on which track is in use. I use gaps aon all four approach tracks so there is no question of polarity.
I have 3 on my passenger station module, and because I can't "read" them to save my life, I added two Peco switch machines (PL-10 or PL-10 E) along with the Peco accessory switch (PL-13). I use the "probe-and-stud" method to throw the turnouts, but any momentary-on switch could also be used. The extra wires are for the frogs, to make them electrically "live" so that dead spots are reduced. Flash is right about isolating them. I did the same.
