Sorry to be a little late to this thread.
The photo link posted by randgust of the Ohio & Erie Canal lock 29 in the Cuyahoga National Park probably fits the standard size of 90' long in the chamber and 15' wide for the entire canal.

This is a pic of Lock 3 on the Oswego Branch of the New York State Canal System at Fulton, NY.
Lock dimensions are 328 feet long, 45 feet wide. The area available for vessels within a lock is 300 feet long, 43.5 feet wide. Not that it matters for modelling purposes but this lock has a rise of 29 feet, one of the deepest on the NYSCS.

    I like that idea thanks.

I’m not doing to good right now, because I’ve down ill. I got sent home from work today because I threw up all over the place and I have 102 deg temp. I’m also in so much pain that I think I’m going to bed and hope for the best for tomorrow.

Anyway I mentioned earler that my grandfather loved the river and my wife found this photo of him on the river. Tomorrow if I fell better, I’m going to look for something to represent this photo for my diorama.

I am fading away fast so I’m logging off now and going to bed.

Thanks for the photo, this is perfect because not only does it show the chamber but also the building as well. The only photo of the building that I could find was of huge 2 story building. I don’t remember where it was now, but it wasn’t going to fit on my layout.
Actually just before I got sick, I was looking through catalogs for a building to use and it was looking like I was going to gave scratch build something. I was going to buy the DPV walls and make something but I could not find a single story wall with a door. Now that I see this i'm thinking about the Model Power Rail Road Maintenance Complex.
The other thing I did not think of was the railings. That will make it more detailed.

I have 3 of Kato Double Truss bridges on the way and I will be ordering one more. I know that the top truss comes off and I think I can mount it on the bottom, I will not know for sure until they get here but if that works then I’ll be able to do this,
