I put 06Cab in 'ard' (yard; why wasn't it 'YAR' not 'ard' ?) mode to have 2-6-0 #1908 do the quick tango dance over the Kadee uncoupler magnet. Using PowerCab's 'assign loco' feature I assigned this engine to address 3 (06's address) having first given it 128 speed step and zero momentum so as to have quick responce over magnet. But loco would not behave this way and kept starting and stopping with a momentum lag..Yet, when I decided to try it with the PowerCab I got the the abrupt response I wanted...whilst using direction button only, for the little dance over magnet, not even in yard mode...Why did 06Cab not give me that staccato abruptness I wanted, and in Yard mode, to boot...but PCab would ?
