This was posted initially in the N gauge forum but as all scales can be involved I am reposting it here. The North American Rail Alliance is a group of independantly owned US shortline railroads.Who are working to gether under the umbrella of NARA to provide alternative rail service to both large and small rail customers to and from Canada, and to and from the southern coast of the United States. We currently have members in 5 US states, Canada, England, Australia and Sweden. If this is something you may be interested in let me know.We are strictly web based and it cost nothing but a little of your time to join and hopefully enjoy. Currently all members are N gauge with free lance operations. This doesn't exclude any interested party or other scales so if you are interested contact Catt or myself ------------------ Robin member #35 Proud to be a foundation member of NARA , #2 Maberly and Tayside [This message has been edited by Robin Matthysen (edited 24 January 2001).]

Sorry you feel neglected but what is the point. I thought posting here includes all countries, OZ and POMS too. If it concerns the area of activity Catt and I are trying to keep it so we can interchange with one another so the North American continent was selected. Do you think we should connect to Australia and England by ferry? Most modellers tend to select North America as there area of choice mainly because of the colourful history of the YANKEE and CANUCK railways. OK have I misunderstood the point or what would you like to see? ------------------ Robin member #35 Proud to be a foundation member of NARA , #2 Maberly and Tayside
Robin, you stated "We currently have members in 5 US states, and Canada as well as Sweden". So if you can get to Sweden, you should be able to manage England and Australia (All in fun) ------------------ Alan Curtis. Moderator. you've missed the point Robin, we were just bringing to your attention that you have forgotten to mention memeber from Aus and Brittain whereas you has mentioned Sweden. we all realise that NARA is for North american Railroads ------------------ Regards Paul #1-Moderator & Member number 50 SPAD Investigator #1 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000
OK guys, sorry I missed it and should have had it correct. I thought you were referring to the web site and only got the point tonight. We Canucks can be dense at times Now I have to be careful not to upset Canadians so it must be me thats the problem. I can't seem to get it right so this may be my last post/reply at Trainboard. Now that was silly to say. I will still come visit from time to time but must really think about what I am saying. "I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you-we are in charge of our attitudes." Charles Swindoll. Now that the fiasco of my boo-boo has been settled I am pleased to report we have 20 members. The interest in Nara is growing. Any suggestions as to what you would like to see are most welcome.
