Hello John, it's a long time since I wait for the Long Valley Lumber and I really appreciate that the my wish become real. Can somebody who attend the Trainfest in Milwaukee take pictures and post them here?
Here is a photo of the much awaited Long Valley Lumber kit in Z scale Laser-cut microplywood kit with roofing material, window glazing, detail parts, and scale drawings. Retails for $139.95. I LOVE the three tracks. One for MTL log cars, one for wood chip loading (think FR and Robert Ray wood chip gons) and one track for center beam loading (again Robert). I can't wait to see all of these items in a scene with a finished mill. It will be too cool! Rob
Yes, it's about time for this structure, with all the logging industry supporting railcars now available! Great job John!
Robert, Thanks, but all the credit goes to Russ, he took the chance to produce it in Z. I just made the recommendation to him that the LVL would be a great kit to produce in Z after hearing from numerous Zheads that they wanted it in Z. Hopefully the sales will support the request. John
i've been wondering about a slaughter house/ processing plant for a western scene with lots of cattle grazing in a field, or collected in a loading pen. this mill could be used for that. the ramp could come from the pens and the overhung are could be where the rolled out meat carcarasses get loaded on the reefers. renderings (fat/lard) could be loaded into tank cars from the sawdust loading bin). just an idea. dave f.
