Any N scale modelers will want to venture to Richmond, Virginia next weekend (September 19-22, 2002) for the 25th Annual RF&P Model Railroad Show The “uNcoNveNtioN” – Part Duex. The first event was held in 1999 and I missed it, due to moving, however, I plan to be at this gigantic event! More details are available on their website at: http://www.rantrak.org/unconvention.htm This is a scale specific show that will have 2 gigantic operating layouts, one DC and one DCC all in the historic Broad Street train station building. I am certainly going to try to be there, either Saturday and/or Sunday. Such an N scale specific show sounds like hella fun.
I drove up from Columbia, SC for the first one. It was the best N scale event I have ever attended (me, personally -- call off the dogs...). It was impressive to see the quality and diversity of the modules. The first one was well worth the trip -- my hotel reservations are made and I head out Friday morning...
I guess next time I have to plan my business trip better, just flew out of Dulles Wedsnday afternoon.
