I am interested in the steam era and Rocky Mountain railroading. At one time I had a job working on one of the surviving parts of the old Rio Grande narrow guage. I like to model the late 19th and early 20th centuries - not easy in N scale, but I have a small collection of Roundhouse oldtimers that I saved from my last layout. I am building my 2nd layout: a loop to loop representing a Santa Fe mainline interchanging with a Rio Grande branchline in central New Mexico. My first one was an oval representing a Rio Grande branch interchanging with a Santa Fe branch in the northern part of the state. I have been following the Trainboard forums for some time and now I would like to be a member and participate in the discussion.
I know I've seen a lot in print and online about Nn3, invariably heavy on RGS and other Rocky Mountain railroading. Not my era or locale, but fascinating to see what is possible. Good luck, welcome aboard and I think you'll find lots of folks here sharing your modelling interest.
Welcome aboard and that area has always interested me so I will be watching to see how things develop. NJoy
Welcome aboard, and the plans you have sound pretty cool to me. DRGW narrow gauge and Santa Fe together.......As you progress, please post photos.
Hi Chileline, and Welcome. I disagree with you saying "I would like to be a member". You already are because you posted, and we're glad you did! Now please share what you're doing with us.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm new to forums. Perhaps I should begin a build thread over in the layout forum to hash out with anyone who is interested what might be feasible for my layout.
