This week I worked on a Japanese auto transporter: The model is made of etched nickel and measures 8'6" wide, 12'5" tall and about 40' long making it perfect for 1/160. This type of transport is used to move smaller batches of used cars from auctions to dealerships where TrainCat's model is mainly used for new car deliveries. I still need to add details and paint some parts.
Prepping a GP7 & GP35 for a quick jaunt through the paint booth. And a couple Pan-Am boxcars from Athearn the need a little weathering.
Here is the latest project a Boston & Maine Transfer Caboose to go with my pair soon to be trio of Guilford Geeps. I'm starting with a Kato caboose I won't be changing window on this. It's close enough for government work for me. Hope to have it painted by this weekend.
Pizza anyone? Close to completion of the local Domino's Pizza. Just need the landscaping team to show up and finish the buildings exterior, think they are hanging out over at the TB... Brian
This has been sitting on my workbench for a while painted and in pieces. I wanted to do some signage in the windows so I did. I'm moderately happy with the results. I need to touch up the paint and glue the turret roof on and she'll be done. Oh... I guess it needs a sign too so you know it's woo woo woo's Corner Drugstore and Soda Shop.
I moved the door on my ES44AC to the correct side for the newer style ES44AC cabs. This unit will either be the NKP heritage unit (if I can get the decals worked out) or just painted into standard NS horsehead.
Hoping for Humidity to drop Schnabel parts are loaded onto "handles", and hoping for lower humidity this weekend so I can get the first coats of primer and color airbrushed onto them. Has been slow going, but looking forward to getting this beast finished. NCDaveD
A few painting projects in N scale - ESM's White Tower, Will Models modern IH cab and beverage trailer, and a Stony Smith Railking (sized up from his fantastic Z scale model).
I finished weathering the last cars that I have up on the layout this weekend (I think there are ~65 up there). Just got a little carried away on the GT car and will probably go back and fix it if it bugs me enough. Only problem is I still need to weather the remaining 400 cars that are in boxes under the layout.... ouch... :mwacko: Brian
