That's a really nice bascule. Even better if it is HO scale pressed into service in a better scale. I think that green color also suits it just fine.

What is on my workbench? A Lackawanna Coal Company by N Scale Architect. It was there for about 15-17 minutes. I opened it after probably five years since purchase, lifted the tissue paper, looked at the instructions and the diagrams and the pieces and put it back in the box. Hopefully, it will come out again within the next five years.

A couple of undec GP7s with some sunrise WP Barrel lights and winterisation hatches, micro-scale WP pearlman green decals. I'll be outing together a build thread shortly for this pair. Also some BLMA wp gons getting ready for detailing and weathering.

I added a few more details to my NS SD40-2. I added a scratch built speed recorder cable, added the sand lines for the trucks, and rebuilt the brake wheel to the correct rachet style. There's still a lot to do but I'm liking the results so far.

I've been working on another 2-6-6-2 logging mallet from a Micro-Ace 0-6-6-0. I came up with a trick way to add all wheel pick-up from a MP vandy tender (in my railimages). Works real well and looks better than the Bmann square tender on my other 2-6-6-2. Will post pics once I get a chance.

While sorting through my passenger fleet and transferring to a new storage box I came upon my unfinished Nn3 stuff. So its time out while I finish putting trucks on the Nn3 passenger fleet and touch up a few things before storing them.

All the passenger cars are old Bmann duckbilled roof cars that were narrowed to 9 ft and retro'd with Z scale passenger trucks and body mount couplers. The short combine is a MDC Overton also narrowed. The two green boxcars are scratch built from styrene with MT doors and roofwalks installed. The 4 wheel bobber cabooses are now 8 wheel Nn3 and the 2 red boxcars at the top are Bmann oldtimers also being cut down to Nn3 dimensions. One of these day I'll get around to building two of the locos to haul this stuff. The decals are homemade with the oval containing Mount Adams that overlooks the Klickitat Valley which the KV stands for.

after work last evening, it was 'work on the head end cars' time...
Here are three baggage cars, but all distinctively different- a Walthers loightweight smoothside baggage, being modified to more resemble an ACF-built ATSF car, a ConCor-Atlas-Rivarossi 85' heavyweight baggage (stripped from it's GM&O paint), about to be painted into it's 'original' prototypical ATSF green scheme, and a Hell Gate models PRR B60b...
all got their baggage door hand rails, and are getting their 'steps/stirrups' now....

about to head to work...very cloudy and rainy here today so no yardwork this morning...so, while waiting for decals, decided to go ahead and spray these...my Walthers smooth side baggage altered to more resemble an ATSF type, and my cobbled together B60B...

I'm happy with the way both of them are progressing, but I'm probably not going to put the smoothside baggage in any of the ATSF consists...it's just going to bother me that the door spacing won't be accurate...we'll see once the decals are on...may change my mind...
    Thanks for looking,
    Bruce

1st F3A #926-A Ex WP 801-D Exx NYO&W so far removed the steam gen. and the fans. Replaced fans with GMM 36" fans for GP7/9s.

2nd GP7 #701 so far drilled for all the grabs, removed headlight castings to be replaced with barrel lights, atlas 5 chime horn, and sunrise weatherization hatch

    Hello all,
I decided to start working on detailing couple of BLMA gons. I'm working on one at a time for comparison. So far Z-scale couplers and BLMA Air lines. Still need to pick up coupler cut levers and some grabs for the ends, then weathering.
