The locos look really good...BUT... what kinda modeler are you? That work are is way to clean and organized sheshhhhhhhhh!!!:tb-wacky::tb-biggrin::thumbs_up: .
My workbench is empty right now. Well, except for the packing tape and Sharpie marker - we're moving at the end of February so any building is on hold for a while.
I finally get to post in this thread! :tb-biggrin: Meaing i actually did some work .... lol Started working on a trestle bridge for a small area on the layout. Lots of research to get the dimensions correct. A trip to the LHS for all the scale lumber. Foam, graph paper, wax paper and Tee Pins. Work great for Bent building. Bent #1 done other than stain, onto 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Marty, Nice looking model - where did you find information about Veneer Cars? Any information you can share would be great! Thanks! --Greg

I had these two Atlas 40' airslide hoppers lying around and I thought how'd they look in BNSF swoosh. Now I need to figure out the best way to draw-bar them together.
Needing a good little switcher I decided to try and upgrade an old Bmann 0-6-0. Ended up dismantling the whole P.O.C. and throwing the pieces in the parts box for replacement parts. Then I remembered I had two Atlas/MicroAce 2-6-0s laying in a storgae box that I had purchased back when the LHS went out of business. So I dug one out and carefully started the metamorphis into an old unit serving out it's last days. Off came the pilot and the rear coupler on the tender. Grafted into those places were MT (old number here) 1045 for a Rapido 0-6-0, on the stack went a cabbage stack spark arrester. The tender got a cut and sanded down oil bunk. The tool boxes got relocated to the pilot and the tender tool box was remounted on the new tender rear deck. In order to get the MT at the right heigth I had to shim the rear deck with some styrene. The same MT 1045 also went on the tender rear which gives me footboards also. Last to be added will be a Pyle generator then some last paint touch ups. Whole loco except for roof and window trim is now basic steam black.
The most solid way is a piece of flat brass stock with holes drilled and put them into the coupler boxes.
I have built my second Walthers Apartment Building. I find these kits to be quite simple and make great housing for use against your Backdrop Here are the results
Done quicker than I thought. Now on to a 2-6-2 and another big Belpaire boiler steamer, plus finish up the detector cars.
right now other than a big mess, I have a Tichy wreck train, a cinder hoist, a sanding tower drying house, and a coaling tower pieced together ready for painting
