Actually, you should flip the entire thing 180, because the cars are loaded at the square end, not from the round silos. There should be a covered shed or canopy over the track from the side of the building to protect the cars during loading. With a facility that size you should be able to handle 6-8 cars at a shot, so the main elevator/loading building should be placed at the point where the last car to be loaded will be under the shed, and the remaining cars will be off to the left in your photo - kinda opposite of how they are arranged in the pic. Just a heads up on these things operated.
Nice work so far by everyone. Here is what I am doing. The small Hole in the wall will be the office for the new junk yard. The Difco cars are going into ATSF MOW stencils. Thanks , Mike
Great weathering on the Difco cars. Was engineer on the Lamesa district of the old ATSF Slaton division when we actually dumped some ballast on that sand filled branch. Was glad the engine was upwind. Roundhouse model progress should speed up over the upcoming weeks, thanks to Superturbine.
Replacement roofs showed up, got them painted and one installed. Other than that... 16 boxcars in various stages of paint/decal at the moment.
Rebuilding the Grizzley at the Silver Top Mine and cutting out the windows, doors etc.. for the Tonopah and Goldfield RR depot in Tonopah. Will post photos when I get home.
The Supertrees were hung from the ceiling with care... ... and three hours disappeared, while unaware.
A daylight SlimLine lamp. This brings the full spectrum right down to the work, and it's so thin it doesn't obscure my view. Very nice.

I am taking an otherwise innocent tugboat: and am turning it into... One of the ships from Chicago's First Lady tours.
I've been building, on commission, a model of the Edna G., a 108' tug that plied the Great Lakes for many years, and is still open (although I do not know if it still steams or diesels). Due to my brain fart, I drew and built it in Z before realizing that it was meant to be N, so it will be available in both scales. Excuse the tape on the stern--this is an in-progress shot. These will be available as built-ups or kits that, unlike some of my larger ships, require only a modicum of kit building experience. I have this and three larger ships to finish before looking at how to produce this, but it is a definite.
The latest addition to my Sierra Railroad fleet, a former GN Y6B, (Sorry GN guys) Re sprayed & wheels blackened, thanks to bobthebear, decaled, DCC chipped, reversing light added, extra weight added to tender to improve power pickup, lubricated and ready to role at the club meet on the 6th of April.
Just cleared 17 Diesels OFF my workbench !!! They got "M/T-ed" and were properly broken in. Next up is 18 Athearn BNFE cars to be M/T-ed. After that, 27 Kato passenger cars to receive M/T 1128s. Soooo tedious !!! In between them, I have 7 Red Caboose coil cars to build (BN and EJ&E). Also hope to start my "EJ&E Project" (see the thread !!!).
