Guys, the N scale offerings can be found on their website now, if you click on "Products."

Hy-cube boxcars but no woodchip cars. Also the Vert a pack and Trinity hopper.

To my eye, the hoppers don't hold a candle to the IM offerings.

*The roofwalk supports are molded vs. etched on the IM's.
(The roofwalk may be molded also, can't really tell but they look thick)
*Accumate trucks (not McHenry couplers) vs. MT trucks and couplers.
    *The details just look heavy.

It appears to be the same car as the IM but I can't see the panel lines well enough to tell.
I hope this doesn't turn into...nobody buys N scale so we are not continuing with it...because I see no reason to buy the hoppers for $6 less than full retail on the IM's.

The other offerings are new and unique so without anything to compare them too, they will probably hold their own. I see a future blowout sale on hoppers coming up though.

    Thanks for the reminder Ben.

What Tony said. This would be a very respectable addition to the fleet if the IM models didn't exist, but that's about the best thing I can say about it, sorry.

The Hy-cubes look nice and will add welcome variety to my boxcar fleet. The Vert-a_Pacs are too "niche" for me, but I'm sure they will find many a good home.

The HO chip gons look really nice.

P.S. George, that Vega is bad-a$$. You should take it for a spin on Jolly's frozen lake.

The boxcars do look nice, might have to spring for one to check them out. I agree with others on the hoppers, IM's are nicer (and the same road names if I recall correctly). Otherwise I like what this company is doing! I wonder if they are up on any of the boards looking for feedback?
    my best,

    Coupler Shanks

What others said about the hoppers. The other 2 cars look acceptable.

I noticed the coupler shanks stick out to far on all the cars.

I sure wish a manufacturer, besides MT, would make short shank couplers.

It would appear that the N Scale vert cars are out

It would appear that they are out and instock I just ordered, one and a Hi Cube both in N Scale. Didn't state anything about a Pre Order. Nice looking Freight Equipment. Let you all know when they come in. Ditto on the nice to see competition in the Hobby in N scale.

Yes, they say in stock. Nice that I don't have to order six months in advance and then have to wait 11-12 months before it comes out. Their prices seem pretty resonable to me. Always nice to have another bull in the herd. :)

    Got my 3 today.

Out of the box, they would NOT roll down my 2% grade.
I put them on the front end of a 24 Kato Coalporter train (right behind the engines) and the coalporters pushed them off the track going down hill.

After closer look, I found that half the wheels would not roll, and the other half wobbled.
I replaced all the wheels with Micro-Trains. Also, the trip pins were too low. I have trouble bending Acumate trip pins (MT's bend easy) so I just pulled them out.

The cars now run pretty good. They will pull the same 24 Coalporters up my 2% grade and around 24" radius curves. However, going down one still derailed. I think they might be a little light. I don't have a scale to check.

NICE car which we didn't have before, however, for the price, I think the detail is lacking, certianly not up to most of the other manufacturers of today, but certianly pass the 3' test. READY TO RUN to me means just that and I don't feel I should have to tinker with them, especially changing the wheels. If I didn't have wheels laying around, I would have to go buy them which would increase the price even more.

Well, I got the two I ordered yesterday. I got the BN version and they do look better in person than on the web site. The two cars did not have the same rolling issues as Glenns but they will be better with some M/T tucks under them. I agree with Glenn that the cars are a little lite and need some weight added. Overall, they are nice cars. The price is about in line with other cars that size but still seems a little high. Shipping is what got me. The cheapest shipping offered was just under $9.00. So, that's my 2 cents worth. Happy modeling!! :) :) :)

But their website still shows Free Shipping on all orders over $50? Are you sure that this wasn't offered to you as an option when you ordered your 2 VertiPacks? Each time I placed an order in the last 2 weeks Free Shipping was offered to me because I spent $50+ each time.

Thanks for the pictures. I saw their advert in the MR and got into their web site and I liked the Hy-Cube boxcars. Quite tempting!

From the 7466 CuFt capacity, the Woodchip Gon is the G-100-11. I had planned on doing this car until I saw their ad. I assumed, and still believe so, that they would/will also do it in N.

If they don't announce it by the National Train Show in July, I will continue on with my plans for the G-100-11 and the G-70-18 drop-bottom.

What Trailer Train Flat is the Vert Pack on? I assume these were placed on regular TT flats. Just wondering if the top comes off and you could potentially use the flat as another TOFC option.

    Tony,
From what I've been able to gather the Vert-a-paks were a different construction than the later Autorack cars in that the loading doors and roofs and end panels were actually part of the car structure and not added onto a standard flatcar. Looking at the model there doesn't seem to be any way to separate the top from the bottom and even if you were to find some way, there would be extensive modification involed to get it to resemble a TTX flatcar.
