10' crossarms, dimensioned in accordance with this NMRA document. Add your own poles. Designed in TinkerCAD (my first CAD drawing!!), and printed on an original Photon. Took a few iterations to get the braces to print. These are VERY fragile--you look at it wrong and the braces will break. The insulators were patterned off an insulator in my collection, but in N, the detail doesn't print well. The insulators are actually mounted on posts, but while it doesn't seem to photograph well, the insulators will break off cleanly, so they too are very frail. The bolts even printed! The braces are out of scale, but it's the only way they will reliably print. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/40Yf0RBMyJr-telegraph-pole-crossarm-10
Thanks! They will kick the realism up another notch. I rough measured 50 scale feet apart and estimated needing 45-50 poles to do the layout. Lots of tedious, delicate work to get them painted and assembled though.
