Just sent in for my subscription. The ole check is in the mail only this time it really is. LOL I have heard of only two negative comments about Kirks new Magazine and one of the gentleman was put to the task for his negatory comments. I think this magazine will be a big help for our N scale hobby and look forward to getting my copies.
Leghome: Sent my subscription to Kirk since we started this thread and have received the first issue already. Like what I have seen so far and I think Kirk is off to a good start. Looking forward to the next issue. ------------------ Residing in BNSF's St. Croix Subdivision near Trempealeau, WI [This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 18 September 2000).]

Publications come and go but I must say that I really like N scale magazine. Sure it's a bi-monthly and is sometimes late. However they have held on for a number of years now and always have some decent pictures of N scale layouts. I haven't seen the new "N Scale Railroading" magazine. But come to think of it I believe I saw this magazine about 25 years ago in a few hobby shops. Not that HO scale is not wonderful but I'm just about bored silly with Model Railroader's HO scale articles, drawings and structures. But when they do go after a N scale layout they can't be beat. They are well organized, informative and clearly edited articles. It's cool being spoiled. To have multiple magazines entirely devoted to the scale you are modeling is a real tribute to that scales' success. regards, Reynard http://www.micronart.com
I find MR's photography top-notch as with their presentation. There editing leaves a lot to be desired, I feel. I nearly always come away from reading an article wanting to know more than has been written. One thing I have noted over the years with MR is when they have a run in N Scale articles, the HO crowd hit the ceiling about it. No pleasing some! Gary. ------------------ Gary A. Received my copy of the new N scale railroading Magazine a couple of days ago, It is really a nice magazine and I have eNjoyed it a lot. Got my copy 1 week after I sent my check. Came in a white envelope, that would be nice to receive it an envelope or some kind of protection. ------------------ Larry E. Gilbert ASST. I just picked up my copy of N Scale Railroading today, and I am very impressed! I was blown away by the number of photos in the magazine! You're lucky to get a half dozen in a Model Railroader (which will be known as "Brand-X" from here on out ) article. I just need to get off my duff and do some modeling so I'll have an article to submit! ------------------ Brian Schmidt railohio@hotmail.com ICQ #21630753 AIM - railohio
