SD75MAC- I have two Atlas GP40s and an SD60. I had (HAD) a layout with a 10" radius curve and neither had problems negotiating it. Did Atlas report that problem to the public or is that what you found out from truobleshooting and from calling the company? -NSBrakeman
The problem was identified on other n-scale list & my own experiences. Atlas addressed it in their forum and on that list. The problem is that some units experience a noticeble slowdown in the curves. Can't remember if it was right or left curves. On slow speeds with DCC, it is quite apparent. ------------------ Keep on Track'N Harold Riley www.phcomputing.com
The proublem was discussed at length on the Atlas Forum. It did not effect all of the 40s and 60s but only a random few.I have had no trouble with any of my Atlas units ever. Maybe I am just lucky. ------------------ Catt!
I model the BN also but there will be atleast 1 MRL unit roaming my layout. I can't resist what a great paint scheme!

I think the MRL units are low nose now. Does anyone know if this is right and if it is when the noses were chopped?
The MRL units are now low nosed. If memory serves me right(get old ya know) Paul Graf said that on a re-run they would most likely do the newer (low nosed) version. ------------------ Catt!
