I was drooling over more than the diesel(s). Fantastic scenery all around! Some of those shots look like they are real. This level of detail is something I can only hope to achieve someday. Thanks for the inspiration!
Last I checked, GN was the only buyer to purchase NW5s new. Am I correct? How many, and how many survived to see Cascade green? Those are awesome models, too!
Hemi I believe you are correct GN rostered 10 of them GN 186-195, built Dec 1946. All 10 made it into BN colors according to the websites here (2nd and 3rd link with GN proto photo)(4th link with BN proto photo). They were all retired by BN in 1982. ===== http://www.railspot.com/gif/railspot/msql/roster/GN01.HTM === http://www.lsrm.org/Scenic/nw5.htm === http://www.northeast.railfan.net/images/tr_gn187.jpg === http://archive.trainpix.com/BN/EMDORIG/NW5/994.HTM ===== eNjoy
