So didn't do any body work tonight did a little work to the chassis of the 725 with high tech battery boxes and air tank and DW tank supports, molded the stewart fuel tank and skirts

So this arrived today for my CNW GP30 pool unit

Starting to build the detail package for it

It's still a ways off as my 725 is first then get back to my sw8 then my business train

Correctly that is because fall of 1979 most hamburger herald units were repainted into NW on the hoods

 

So back on the 725 with more sanding then more putty to let set up for 24 hours as it's on super thin

Anyway got a little done on the truck added 1st of 6 Slope journals 5 to go plus 2 square journals per proto pic I'm working from

So here's the little I got done tonight

 

So got some work done on GP30 #2222 cannon fans being added lift rings and decided to see what the Blues Brothers would look like together

The 725's blue might just end up being it's sun bleached destiny on the WNW hoping they'll look good together when done

 

So found a new way to speed up the removal of the Timken bearings and replacing them with the DA journals one side done with all slope
20 slope 2 square journals left to go then can get back to cleaning up the sealed portholes

So as get closer to units being painted I took GP30 2222 as my Guinea pig think I might need just a tad darker Grey for the roof

Yes I know it looks like a variation of the B&O it's not once I have all its stripes on
