So I did some cleanup on this truck be very careful trimming it from it's sprue base and the wheel sprue base.

One thing I noted is check the axle length as you may need to trim a little off the brass axle I did and it's no big deal to me.

I would rather cut than be short.

Also when trimming the tires from their sprue be careful as the from tires have axle shoulder nubs to help hold on the tires I will still use a touch of acc glue so as not go lose the tires..

Now it's off to the soap container to remove any mold release after I do some light sanding and cleanup on it.

Overall very pleased with having a rare truck for my layout now on to figure out what color's to paint it.

Here's the updated pics in no particular order as my camera loads them it's way.

This will be a slow build want it right the first time TTFN

So these came in the mail today will be making two of them into mow trucks the other two into pov's.

The tailgates actually work so this should add a little into the mix of what these trucks will be up to.

Will start getting these ready for the paint shop when I primer my Diamond T and repaint the trailer fairly soon.

    Okay got the F100's apart.

Watch very carefully taking the glass out as the cab glass is durable but also fragile.

I broke one but that truck will have one side window 3/4's of the way down the other 1/2 way down +/-

Also be careful not to lose the headlight lenses don't ask me how I know 8^) .

Got lucky and found both headlights.

On to the pics as it gets closer to paint time

Looks good but to new for me as the headlights at least date it to 1984-5

Nice looking truck thoughstill waiting for a 1970's W900A model KW.

Can see that one hauling a cattle wagon or skateboard maybe a thermos bottle.

Hey my days of n scale are over.

The nerves in my hands from when I was run off the road in my tractor trailer are getting the worst of me with the n scale stuff.

The hand spasms are do bad that thing arecgetting crushed badly.

This is the only photo I will share as the other crush Victims will make you cry.

My Diamond T truck is history see photo that cab disintegrated in my hand when it spasmed.

The remains I have no choice but to change scales.

Sorry to hear that. Was this a recent accident? I didn't see anything posted earlier but I may have missed it. Could the spasms be something that might improve with time?

As for the accident it happened a few years back but it's been playing havoc with me since either it all good or as the photo shows really bad.

As for the project this happend just about a week ago.

As for the spasms doctors won't touch my hand with surgery fearing it'll make them worse or completely non functional.

So it is what it is no more n scale can't afford to take the chances of wasting money.

Also my hands give little to no warning at all when this happens.

Sad part is I had just washed rinsed and dried the truck for paint when this happened on well.

    Win some lose some.

Well, it is nice to have the option of switching to a larger scale. Perhaps you (or a trusted designee?) can put your favorite N scale models in a display so you can still enjoy them?

Hi Vince, Most folks do not realize the near torture we put our bodies through back in the "Good Ole days" of trucking. No power steering, spring suspension on ruff roads driving COE trucks for 10 hours a day and living in the truck 24 hours a day up to 6 days a week took it's toll on me. Then add an accident on top of all that, I can completely understand. From spending close to 22 years in the cab of a truck, my knees and shoulders are shot. I have ringing in my ears 24 hours a day and a quite room is deafening. I'm glad I'm out of the trucking industry and hope it stays that way until I can retire. All I can say is hang in there driver and do what you need to do.

    Thanks all.

    @Rich_S

Know what you mean Rich but I was out 30-60 days home for 5-7 then out again.

As for the wreck not fun seat belt did it's job but I swear that Air Ride seat seen more ride action than it expected.

Drove it into a field about 200-275 feet before she went over and that would not have happened had the trailer not rocked in a vermon hole causing the trailer to rock and catch a high tension power pole mid trailer kicking onto it's side first before going all the way over.

Best thing no fluids leaked out which I thought strange.

Wow Vince, sorry to hear all that. Hopefully HO works out better and we'll be on the lookout for some cool builds there. With my knee issue, I can relate to having issues that hamper what or how much you can do. Wish you the best sir!

Sorry to hear about this issue Vince. May you enjoy the larger scale and we shall look for fine work.

I did not drive as long as you and Rich have but a KW COE with 4,500 gallon mo-gas tank, with Bostrom air ride seat, sure beat the hell out of my back and kidneys. Oh well Iv'e managed this long.

    @Carl Sowell

So you know what happens when the cab air ride and seat air ride work against each other.

My COE experience was in FLC's and Cornbinders and I totally agree the person that designed them.

    Well you get the idea.

Just can't get into the bigger scale.

Plus the doctor gave me somewhat good news.

My hand issue is caused by the weather 40 & below it becomes a vice.

42 & above my hands work decently so now the doctor figured this out and did the tests I'm going to try and continue in N scale.
