Like I say, the engineer on this train had by now recognized that I was more of a railfan than a normal tourist. Maybe he was amused by our chase of the train. Anyway, he yelled at me to come up into the cab. At least I got my picture taken to show that I was there. Fran came along at that time and took one of me up on the locomotive. And, of course, the engineer invited Fran up into the cab, and took a picture of her in the right hand seat. And that was it. Passengers were loaded, train ready to go, and he was off in a slight cloud of diesel smoke. Well, that brings to a close our rail adventure in Chihuahua. The next day we headed south from Creel and pointed the car towards home. In the 1,200 (+/-) mile drive home we only saw two trains, and they were too far off in the distance to get a decent shot. But it was a great vacation. We're hoping to get a chance to go back in the not so distant future. Hope you guys have enjoyed the pictures and the commentary. If any of you plan a trip doen to ride the train through the Copper Canyon and have questions, feel free to pm me. Regards Ed
