Hi everyone, after some two years since my last post I’m back with some new wagons I finished in the last weeks; let’s begin with the very last one! A Ferrovie dello Stato’s Hcs-Uvy mail car, made using a german freight car from Roco. I added few bits like the bellows, the electric heating system and the battery box. I then painted it with the airbrush and touched up few imperfections with a fine brush!
I then weathered it using enamels and oil paints.

That's beautiful work Matteo - your paint, detailing and weathering are flawless. A superb model by any standard! (y)

Thank y’all! I’m glad you liked it!
Now I present another mail car, just an older type used mainly in the Sixties and Seventies by FS. I had two of them, one is bashed from Minitrix parts and the Slate Grey one’s an old resin model from Euromodellismo of Milan.
The painting is made by airbrush and so the weathering. Decals were draw on CAD and then I sent the drafts to a specialized company!
    Here they are:

And here we have another freight car from a Local railway, the FBP (which links Bologna with Portomaggiore).
The wagon is a Ghkkms from MW-Modell! Same techniques as the other paintjobs![IMG][IMG][IMG]

I'm enjoying your posts very much Matteo! (y) Thank you too for including photos of the prototype cars you are modeling. They help to make me appreciate even more the quality of your work.

Today I began a New project!
A Type 99.200 caboose of FS, nicknamed “Ridolini” because of the narrower appearance.
I made it using plastic sheets combined together and some copper and brass wire from the local Hardware store.[IMG][IMG]

Late this August I made this load for a small wagon, I simply cut a rectangular shape from .120 Forex from the usual hardware store and then I throwed on it all the bits I could find, mainly plastic bits, profiles from Plastruct, and copper tubes. All was fixed with cyanoacrilate, painted with a rusty tone from the Tamiya range (“Linoleum Deck”) and then weathered using pigments, enamels, oils...
It is a very useful tip I will surely employ again on other cars!

The load looks so real that a magnet might be attracted to it! (y)

    Thank you so much!
Here is the wooden-skinned caboose finished (well, I only have to make the glass on the windows)!
