My introduction

Many of you have probably heard of me from other forums. I'm active on several model car and truck forums, as well as a couple of model railroad forums. I did have some pictures on the old rail images, but I never got around to posting anything. I'm originally from Oskaloosa, Iowa. I'm a former school teacher, although I'm now retired. During the seventies I raced dirt track stock cars for a hobby, but that was cut short due to a rather unpleasant wreck. My wife was from Pella, Iowa, and we traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah to be married. I now have a son living there. My wife and I now live in Kodiak, Alaska. We have one son and one daughter still living at home. My wife and daughter are both into models as much as I am.

I also write science fiction and fantasy, but am not published. I have a new forum dedicated to the genre. Out of courtesy to our hosts, I'll not give the link here, but if you're interested, you may PM me, and I'll give it to you. I'm between layouts at the moment, as I'm in the midst of a major model room remodel. The new layout will be double deck continous run around three walls, and it will retain the same name of Zarahemla Western as it did before.

I actually signed up to the new trainboard in April, but I never got around to posting anything until now. I just lurked around the edges.
