!@#*! mg: I gotta' get some o' those! And with the GN decals I recieved from generous Pray59, They'll be GN cars real soon!!!
Jeff drove up and visited MTL this past week, and Joe gave him the tour where he said he seen a machine cranking out the PS2's, and that they were awesome! I can't wait to get a few for myself to complement my 70 toners. -Robert
the PS-2 hopper was built from the mid 60s through the late 70s (if not later) these specific models are from the early 1970s I believe (like 1973 or thereabouts)
From the Atlas N scale site: "Built by Pullman Standard starting in the late 1940's and into the 1950's, the PS-2 Covered Hoppers were used to transport granular bulk commodities, such as cement, soda ash, sand and grain. " And Atlas did do it in PRR as I have one. Here is a Kadee HO model: http://www.kadee.com/ca/ps2/jpg/8321l.jpg Real thing http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/prr/prr258075d.jpg

Thank you Chris & Bambuko for the links, this means I now have another type of wagon to add to the roster when MTL releases them in PRR colours.
I am pretty sure that they were being produced after the 50's ... but that might have been a rebuild program
