Any rumors as to what MTL will be releasing next month (December)?

I agree Hemi...it made me think about getting one for the Mopac Ford Fast Train (NW+MP to Kansas City). I wonder if MT will make the older or less common schemes while RC does more modern schemes. I'd really like to see racks in Frisco and Mopac, or at least a Trailer Train version I can modify.

    MTL December releases

I see that Micro-Trains screwed up the Erie diamond, differently this time. The original Kadee/MT Erie box car had a shaded diamond, which never existed, and now this reprint has a diamond with a black edge around the perimenter: unfortunately, wrong again. The Erie diamond never had a border like that, at least not that I can remember.

At least they will match the old MT Erie hoppers with a yellow diamond that should be white. Oh and there is the Erie/EL depressed flat car they did with the wrong number for the cars length...Way to go MT:thumbs_down:

All the Erie cars are such simple schemes that when they are wrong it's that much more frustrating.

I see that 2 new runner 4 packs are listed for reservations all runner packs can be had for $39.95 @ n scale supply The MRSP price for all packs are $49.95 except the CB&Q Hoppers which are MRSP $59.95 and all E -tailers except N scale supply have them(CB&Q) listed at $49.95 So the best deal for the CB&Q hoppers is N scale supply at $20.00 off list price.

For some reason the price on the MTL website is listed as $49.95 however the Micro News has it listed at $59.95. Guess we'll have to make a call on Monday and find out which is the correct price.

I was surprised that the CB&Q runner pack of four was at $49.95 on the website so I would not be surprised if the correct price was in fact $59.95.

I would expect a correction in dealer prices also if MTL changes the price. $20 off of a $60 item would not leave a whole lot of margin.

Why??? Color or Logo adds $2.50 per car?

    George,

You mentioned that the $49.95 price, for the CB&Q hoppers, surprised you and that $10.00 more would not surprise you. Is the color or the logo (or both) the reason you feel that $2.50 more per car is justified?
