Novice railroader's dad seeking veteran's advice on layouts for mth trains that can be built on an 8' X 12' bench. Specifically, are there any layout samples in print or online that can serve as a blueprint? I have the mth catalog samples, but before I start srewing down track, I'd like to view some other track configurations. Also, I'm surprised that there are no instructions with the mth streetlights, TADs and switches we bought to help with wiring and installation. Maybe I just don't know where to look for advice. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Bob
If you are not a member of the MTH Railroaders Club, you might want to join. One of the premiums last year was software to design layouts with MTH track. If you join, try to get them to include one of these CD's with your club membership. If they don't, RR Track puts out a pretty good set of software. This is what MTH uses, but if you purchase from RR, you can select what track libraries you want.
