Having admired all your MRL models I've got to 'have a go'!!

Does anyone produce the blue paint or do you have to use something like 'Midnight Blue'?

I'm sure the odd MRL SD45 gets to Chicago as part of a BNSF consist - no-one in the UK will know anyway will they Alan!!

Keep up the good work and ideas guys

I have seen the most oddball pooled power all over the US. I have witnessed KCS units on BN territory in Wyoming, CSX units in North Dakota on BN, NS units in Wyoming on UP, Conrail units on BN in Wyoming, just to name a few. Naw, it's not Prototype! [IMG]

I use Floquil dark blue on all my MRL models. It seems to have worked out best for me. When I visited the MRL in 1996 I saw three different shades of blue on three different locos at Livingston, MT. You'll never know what shade you will see.

For over an hour I pondered what was MRL. Then it dawned on me... Montana Rail Link! [IMG]

How about trying Missouri Pacific blue?

To paint my log cars in MRL I used Tamiya flat blue XF-8

Here are a couple of pics

I painted some sd45's up in MRL.I used csx blue Badger paint. This was told to me to be a close match from Mopac 3092.I have rode the real things and it is very close to it.
