Recieved my membership card today for the Milwaukee Road Historical Association. I fell in love with the magazine they put out, and to get them you have to be a member, so now I am!! You also get deals on MR merchandise and publications. I also recieved a book on all the steel caboose's MR ever had, where they were made, road numbers, colors, where they were in service and what happened to them after Soo Line took over. Anyone needing any info feel free to contact me!

    Andy-

The quality of the photo reproduction, and printing, has increased greatly since Andover Junction got the job. All the people involved in that magazine, are working very hard, to minimize inaccuracies.

I'm now in my 24th year as a member.

Hey Boxcab, The Magazine is really top quality. I figured since Iam going to start modeling the MR they might be able to give me some prototype help, and now that I have joined it's like I own a little piece of what I'm modeling. (boy am I getting mushy) I hope to have a long and prosperous membership!!! [IMG]

You can also check with the Milwaukee Road's Archives at the Milwaulkee Public Museum. They are slow, but have a wealth of information on car data, images, etc.

Boxcab-I'm not dead. I finished the paint job on the woodchip car and have located some decals. It took me a few train show's to find them. Seems decals are a fading thing, unless you want to have them custom made or try it yourself.

Also, MHRA is trying to raise funds for a pole barn at the Illinios Railway Musem. They have a large collection of Milwaukee Road rolling stock, a beautifully restored rib side caboose and other chachkas that the MHRA wants to move inside, out of the elements. Any donations are appreciated. If you haven't been to the IRM, GO!. They have the 265 (Class S-3 Northern) in the steam shed (or did in 7/01) and it's so nice to be able to look it up and down and all over from a few inches away.

    Mark ;)
