Details on what's in store at the MPHS Convention

Just a friendly reminder that the MPHS Annual Convention is scheduled for Friday October 6 and Saturday October 7 in Little Rock, AR. Our convention hotel is the recently remodeled Comfort Inn just off I-30 and 7th St.

    Program Highlights include -

"Pullmans to the Spa City -- Passenger Service to Hot Springs National Park" by Bill Pollard

Little Rock 1953 by Charlie Shope. Charlie's presentation covers trains and operations in Little Rock in 1953.

MoPac Mail Trains #7 & #8 by Jim Ogden. Jim will give an overview of mails to Texas on trains #7 & #8 and contrast them to trains between St. Louis and Kansas City.

MoPac Modeling Inspiration by MPHS members. Member submitted photos of their modeling efforts on a new CD-ROM.

Special Presentation: My Look at the MoPac by Jim Boyd.

Noted author and former editor of Railroad and Railfan magazine, Jim Boyd will give a two-part presentation on his collection of MoPac photos. While working for EMD in the late '60s Jim developed an affinity for Midwest railroads, and the MoPac in particular. This presentation highlights his interest in the MoPac.
