Paul, I love that "waterfall" scene you modeled... WOW is right!!!!! Man thats some nice work.. KEEP IT UP!
Here's two more of the finished area, sorry about the quality of these photo's, but I am using a very cheap digital camera for the time being. Will take some 35mm soon.
Paul, You never seem to stop amazing me and the rest of the members of the board.... nice work..... I love your work on scenery!! To bad your not in the US I'd hire ya to my scenery on my home layout!
Paul, your talent is just wonderful. It looks like your loggers have harvested some giant redwoods there on the new section. A few years ago I rode on a steam excursion in Prineville, OR, USA behind Mt. Emily Lumber co. Shay No. 1. My friend Martin Hansen was firing that day, and they had a few cars of newly harvested logs which Martin described as "Just picked them this morning" leaning out of the cab. Great work.
Paul. For a cheap digital camara, you couldn't get a clearer or sharper pictures than these. They are great
I quite agree with everyone else here. Awesome! That second pic especially. It makes you feel like you are trackside. Kudos Russ/NYC The Hoffman Valley RR NARA#28
Paul, You know what, I'm in the crummie on the end of that train going across the tressle!!!!!! Looking back from the last stop...... Thats what the picture puts me to thinking of! Great Work! Keep it up!
Paul, I know this doesn't belong on this forum, but couldn't resist sending a photo of Martin's "Just picked this morning" logs.
All I can say is, "WOW, maybe that cardboard box I was using doesn't look to prototypical!" Keep 'em coming! Dane
Fitz, Great shot! I really like it alot. Looks like you are using real sunlight for lighting (?) Is that a diorama? Got any more?
Yeah, it's real sunlight and a real big diorama east of Prineville, OR crossing US hwy. 26. Yes I have more with some super simulated smoke.
Paul, What can I say except "Superb" I always enjoy looking at your work. The layout changes look great, What have the changes done to operating capabilities?
Paul, I'm sorry, but "WOW!!!" just doesn't cover it. Your work transcends "WOW!!!" BTW, what size track do you have- code 83, 70, or 55?
I have to agree as usual Paul, your work is supurb! I have a Bachmann engine and the flanges mike out to be .064" so that makes them a scale five and a half inches long. They just barely clear the spike heads on my code 100 rails. The spike heads are .025, so there is only .011" clear. Rivarossi is the same, and you ruin the wheels if you try to turn the flange down closer to scale. How do you run anything lower than code .100?
Paul - Administrator, yes I have quite abit more switching problems to work out now, shall have to re-do my waybill car/card system to incorporate the new area. Dick, As for the tree trunks, I use balsa-wood and rasp the sides to represent the bark effect. Bob, I use code 100, when it's ballasted and painted, it looks fine. Did use code 75 finescale at one time, but found it a little brittle. Paul [ 25 June 2001: Message edited by: Paul Templar ]
