Uhhhh, somebody actually bought the Pennsy 'needs repair' (actually needs parts) locomotive. Great, reward the fool by buying his junk...
Turn on radio or TV. Pick up a so-called "newspaper". Look out your window. The proof is everywhere. In this regard, he was brighter than Einstein, Feynman, etc....
Just saw this today and I wasn't even looking for listings here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aurora-N-sc...987109?hash=item4afbda98e5:g:U3wAAOSw1S9Wcj8L
I've listed plenty of cases over the years, but always in groups (bundles) and starting at $9.95. I have been pleasantly surprised in the interest shown when there are several offered together at a reasonable price - even for used jewel cases.
He's probably thinking of them as original Lionel boxes. A car is just worth more in the original Lionel box...but that isn't the same in N scale. I also get a kick out of people using TCA grading for the condition of N scale trains (I know that EBay tells sellers to use them, but it's just stupid).
Heres a deal! 3 engines and 29 cars http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-MKT-At...362541?hash=item1a0fbf916d:g:NRkAAOSwuWVWFGFQ

Walthers Cornerstone sand tower. He has 5 available. I wonder why the .53 cents? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cornerstone...423004?hash=item2ca935989c:g:fKsAAOSwWTRW1lKc
Don't think I would go so far as to call this a 'beautiful layout'. It's a piece of painted fiberboard with prebuilt buildings on it. There's not even any ballast (or cork for that matter). Still, it's better than some I've seen: http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Cus...208396?hash=item4af2919a4c:g:uTkAAOSwFAZTvtw4
Not again. They've tried this before and not had a nibble. They should cut their price by about 80 percent, and then perhaps....
