ATSF More early railfan pics

    Taken late fall of 1981, these are some of my first railfan pictures...taken at Walong (Tehachapi)...seems there is always some kind of trackwork going on up in the mountain there...

    If my count is correct, there are 3 Geep 30's on that one train, and it looks like there's another on the point! Can you confirm, MIke?

    Five GP30's and 2 GP35's [​IMG]

    I have a video of Tehachapi of around that time period, and 7-8 Geeps per train was fairly common. One shot shows 8 units setting out a single car in Mojave! :D

    And how about that cowl unit and those wonderful GE's in the second picture [​IMG]
