I am truly an idiot. Until just now, watching my replacement Missouri Pacific Bachmann 2-8-0 breaking in, I assumed a MOPAC was some sort of modern container carrier or something. I never lloked at the threads since I stopped at 1954 and did not want to view modern. Could it be Missouri Pacific abbreviated ????
Indeed it is. Another abbreviation for this fine railroad is Mop. There may be less complimentary nicknames, but I'm not familiar with 'em. No reason to feel like an idiot- just chalk it up as another Lesson Learned
