I am looking for a listing of road numbers or the correct numbers for a project. I have a dynamic GP40 in UP colors that is going to get MP lettering and numbers.

the mopac had a total of 25 gp40's and 4 gp40-2's, but of the 40's there were only 3 with dynamic brakes, while the 40-2's had dynamic also. these units were ex western pacific units and were numbered 651, 662, and 665. the 40-2 units were numbered 900, 901, 904, and 907.

Saw this loco on my last trip to Colorado last August. I can't remember where now I want to say in tyhe Hinkle OR. area, but don't quote me on that, so there is at least on GP40 MP Heritage still out there as of late August 2001.

There were once quite a few Missouri Pacific diesels in Union Pacific colors along the Missouri River route from Jefferson City to St. Louis.
And I missed the old blue MoPacs with the eagle and the saw blade insignia.
