I live in Colorado, and have always been a fan of MoPac. I'm also a Rock Island fan, and found a great book that discussed in good detail Rock Island's operations in Colorado, which were much more extensive than I had realized. (It was in a Colorado Rail Annual publication.) After reading that, I have been looking for more information on MoPac's operations in Colorado. I know the Colorado Eagle came to Pueblo and Denver, that freight either originated or connected with MP in Pueblo, and that in both the steam and diesel era, MP locomotives were run through at least up to the Tennessee Pass area. But, I don't know what yards, sidings, stations, or anything else MP had here in the Centennial State. Can anyone point me to some publications? I am going to see if the Colorado Rail Annuals have anything on it, but thought I'd start here. Thanks all!

    Kevin,

A good start might be old MP publications, such as Employee Time Tables and promotional guides. I've found some of these on eBay before. The Eagle, a magazine of the MoPac historical society, also has had articles on just this kind of subject. Click the link in my sig to visit their site!
