does anybody know what the visual differences between a mopac b23-7 non-dynamic braking vs a b23-7 with dynamic braking
If they are like any other typical early GE's, there shouldn't really be any major external diffs between d/b and non-d/b. GE mounted the d/b grids in the radiator compartment, and it wasn't until the late production Dash-7 units, like UP and NS's C36-7's, that GE mounted the dynamics in the "box" behind the cab. I'm thinking of getting two B23-7's to custom paint in the MP blue scheme. My question is, does any one know what undec model to get???? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this model series. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of their units to look at. If you could steer me toward some sites with good pics of the MP's B23-7's, I could help you figure which version would work. Paul #3 ------------------ Have A Nice Day!
For the dedicated MOPAC fan, the book "Missouri Pacific Diesel Power" by Kevin Eudaly is a must. It's not cheap, but it's been worth it's weight in gold. Craig, if you're interested, I can probably photo copy some picks from the book and fax them to you. Just E-mail me if you're interested. I too plan on putting several onto my rails in MOPAC blue. From what I can make out in the EuDaly book, the MoPac engines had the short nose (or is that low?), thin anti-climber and FB-2 trucks. The latches I'll assume to be knuckle, since I really don't know and can't tell. I know I'm going to need a couple of these puppies, though! ------------------ Jenks - the REAL Big Blue
