Well, I finally got around to a project that I'd been wanting to tackle for a long time - installing a jack on my Lenz LH100 throttle to enable use of a coiled cord.

The one thing I have NEVER liked about the LH100 is the plain cord. It's easy to get tangled in, and it doesn't have any give at all...step too far away from the plug, and you'd tear it out if you weren't careful. I've always wondered why the LH90, and even the Atlas HandCommand made by Lenz, allow use of a coiled cord, but the top-of-the-line LH100 does not. Well, now it does. :teeth:

I got the idea from a picture on the Lenz Digital Plus group at Yahoo, so I figured I'd just tear open my throttle and see what I could figure out. It was actually pretty easy. Instead of hard-wiring the cord, I installed a molex modular jack so that the cord can be unplugged if needed. It would work fine with the Lenz LY006 coil cord, but I got the components and built my own cord.

I took a pile of pictures and documented the steps, so if anyone is interested in a tutorial I'd be glad to post one.

    Ray,

I'd be interested in seeing how it's done.
