I don't have a Rokuhan controller but liked the idea enough to "steal" it for my control panel. I'm planning on an isolated power supply for the meters so that I can read down to zero.
Kim, That reading is correct and was cross referenced with another multimeter. But, the rest of the story is that the loco was not moving! It was a prototype of the SD45 and I was checking low speed stall characteristics. Note the voltage is only 2.6vdc, it is on a curve, and it is an early running prototype where we have not worked out all the manufacturing tolerances. These little meters have been handy in the locomotive development and testing process. Best, -Rob(A) AZL
I wonder if this will also work for the RC-03? Garth: I placed my order via eBay on Jan 13 and received my unit on Jan 28 from China.
RC03 is a very mush smaller case so don't think you can get it inside the case. I intend mounting it in an external box from Radio shack and power meter from RC? controller accessory socket and pass track feed through the box and tap off of track feed going to a bridge rectifier and then on to the meter so reverse switch does not affect polarity to meter.
