Modelling Reno Yard - Reno Jct

I have a good friend building a N Scale layout based on the plan from Kalmbach's Model Railroading Planning 2000 - UP's Reno Branch. It's to be in the late-60's to late-70's era of the WP.

The first part being done is Reno yard itself. A design consideration is modelling the road that cross in front of the depot, which we have photos of, but we have no information of what was across the street from the depot.
Do you have any infornmation on, or references to, what was there during the 60's-70's?

Thanks, Greg. Photos will help sort out what we have with photos in books and articles.

The first part being built is Reno Yard. We have photo of the depot building, front and (what was) trackside, but nothing of what is directly across from the depot. The track that continues on to the SP connection will be close to the edge so there's no need for anything from the other side of the tracks, so to speak.



The article we are working off has mention and a few photo of the warehouses that are served but that's about it. Since this will be representative, artistic license will be used.
The current build plan calls for storefronts and a carpark across the street from the depot for visual interest as this will be the first thing seen as you walk in the room. We have nothing that says what may be there, so any info on that aspect will help greatly, for starters.
