I came across this model database, it is FREE. It would be useful for inventorying your equipment. Software Design - RRTrains 2000 George
I use it for my locomotive fleet. It's easy to work with. It keeps a nice list along with a detailed description of each engine I have.
That program looks cool. I like the ability to store pictures with your equipment. I downloaded it. I have my own DB I wrote for MS Acess, but I'd like to try something more geared toward Model Railroading.
Its a little quirky but you get a free car card program to. Just buy some thicker paper and your good to go. Been using it for a few years now.
I like the yard office version. I think that I will download that when I get home and try it out. Looks like a great thing that I can use and like. Thanks for that link.
I like Yard Office. I just wish there was an easy to make it portable. You can;t just install it on a thumb drive and go.
I just looked at the "Yard Office" site and there are several extra features you can get if you register the SW for $27. One of the 10 or so extras are car cards. So yes it does if you like the program enough to register it. Seems to be a well thought out application. PeteC
That's a good program. Small, easy to use and can hold a wealth of info, including photos of equipment.
anybody ever tryed Dallas Model Works.com Model Trains + Model Railroad Equipment online, its free, and it comes with car cards, a random consist generator, and more!
