I was just filling out my ballot for the readers' choice awards and was going to skip over the HO scale stuff, when an idea struck me. Perhaps if HO models are chosen that aren't available in N scale, then maybe it'd nudge the manufacturers into producing them in N scale. For instance, for HO locomotive, I HAD to choose F59PHI. It's probably a little unethical, and won't help at all, but I had to do something to get an F59PHI going. What do you think?

I think the Kato N-scale SD40-2 should get loco of the year in N. This is because we have had to wait a long time for the best selling EMD loco of all time. Many have waited for a SD40-2. I know that the Atlas H-24-66 will probably get it however.

Kato SD40-2? You're gonna have people all over that one on paint inaccuracies (bad spacing on UNION PA C I F IC for example). I don't own the model, but have seen it perform well, as with most Kato and Atlas locos. We'll have to wait and see.

Well my point here guys was not to talk about the best N scale models, but to point out that if we also vote for an HO scale model that isn't made in N scale, maybe they'd finally do it in N scale for us due to the "success" in HO scale.

:D Sorry about that. I went to this topic and posted so fast after I posted on another topic that it said I had to wait 60 seconds because of the "flood control", and way, each time it did this and I went back the reply screen was blank and I could remember exactly what I posted so to make a long story short, I did this three times, thinking only the last one would come through.

    Sorry

I see one flaw in your thinking here guys. IF it is Modern you want them to do in N-Scale, and nobody votes for the most modern release in N-Scale, and the FM unit gets all the votes. Isn't it possible the N-Scale manufactures will think the modern stuff isn't as important to us than the older stuff? Think that one over before you cast your votes!

It is our humble opinion that these awards are politically biased. Many, not all, but many of the awards in recent years have gone to the "underdog".
