Who knows what MTL Couplers can be used on the following: 4-4-0 American 2-6-0 Mogul 4-6-2 Pacific (newer one) It's not on the Micro Trains conversion sheet. Who has done this?
I did it on the 4-6-2. It is not on the conversion list, but it was one of my first N projects. I took one of the premade body mounts and sanded down the sides. It then fit in the tender coupler holder. Instead of using the pushon black piece that came on the loco, I ran one of the screws that came with the coupler through the hole. The height was perfect and it holds fine.
I use MT Z scale # 905 couplers body mounted to the back of the tender. I also use MT Z scale # 905 couplers on the front pilot of all MP steamers. The MT Z scale coupler mates well with all N scale knuckle couplers and looks more prototypically correct in regards to scale.
