Welcome back! I thought it was getting quiet... That wharf wall looks great.
The sides of diorama were made using thin plywood.
I prepared the river with the other riverbank:
I will try to follow this picture with riverbank landscaping:
Paper factory building with the advertisement on the wall:
Excellent work! I like the really fine handrails on the load dock. Are they photo-etched? Simple details sure make the rest of the model come to life.
The concrete is just fantastic
Handrails are photoetched parts - ships railings for 1/200 scale as far as I remember.
Everything looks great. That Kibri building is versatile. I use photo etched N-scale ladders with one rail removed for railings. Jim
Nice weathering and attention to the small details. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Thank you for your comments. There was no much progress with this diorama during last weeks. I started to collect small items to make it better looking in the future. Vehicles proper for 1930-1940 are a starting point. First ones I got are Opel Blits and Mercedes Benz vans. They are 3D printed and painted by myself:
It's always a pleasure to read your posts. This is some outstanding work. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. In most cases there is more "to look at" comparing with "to read" in my posts.
A picture is worth 1000 words, so they say, but you are correct, it's more looking than reading.
Very nice! Where did you get the .STL files for the prints? Resin printed? The 3D Printing & More forum would like to see these in Z...
They are designed and 3D printed by a fellow modeller from Z Friends International Forum.
I am very happy to find on Shapeways also trucks produced in Poland in 30ties: Fiat 618, Fiat 621 and Ursus A. I added some loads as well:
