Here's my scratch built model of the old Tacoma And Eastern station the Milwaukee Road used until 1954 in Tacoma. I used the few reference photos I could find and the many photos on the web of the HO model of the station and the Washington State History Museum layout. Not an exact copy but close enough.
GEeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz !!! And I cant even glue two sides of an Atlas roundhouse together without messin up !! You do awesome work ^5 ...so jealous here... .
It certainly does look a lot like the old TERR depot! I wonder if there are actually some blueprints existing? Maybe in the Milw/MPL collection? Boxcab E50
Prints Bill, if you want prints, I believe the gentlemen who built the replica for the PSMRE layout has them. I could inquire if you'd like. Let me know. I do have one question, the PSMRE version has 8000 individual roof shingles, you plan on duplicating that? Ha! Great work. Michael
It made my day just to see such great work! Tonight I will dream about doing such great work but will wake up in cold sweat because even in my dreams I know I could never do that well.
Thanks for the nice comments guys, Michael I think I'll pass on the individual shingles I have an N scale aircraft carrier I scratch built that has probably that many parts, and that's enough!
I finally finished painting and weathering the station tonight. It was fun painting all those darn windows!
