...anyone have or know where I can get basic plans for the Taunton, Wa Substation?

I'd like to have one made in Z-scale for my layout I'm planning.
    Thanks for any info!:D 036.JPG 043.JPG

The MLW just like most RR's, sure had well built infrastructure. I sure wish I had something to offer but man it so saddening the "Road" went by the way side.

Kurt, those are good photos. You might be able to create your own drawings by scaling measurements from them and other photos if they are available. The first hurdle is to establish an accurate reference. For instance, in the upper photo, is the metal shed door 6 or 6-1/2 feet tall, or do you remember how tall was the fence? Given one of these as a starting point, then apply that scaling ratio to measure the upper window openings. That will allow you to transfer that scaling ratio to the lower photo.

When I do something like this, I tell myself that I'm only creating a building that looks close to the prototype, not creating a precise architectural model. Others recognize what the finished building represents and appreciate how it fits into the layout as a whole. Looking forward to what you create.
